INT. POLICE STATION- DUSK
THE STATION IS RIFE WITH PEOPLE, ARRESTS BEING MADE AND FILES BEING TRANSPORTED AROUND TO VARIOUS DESKS LACED AROUND THE PLACE. PEOPLE WORKING OFF BENCHES AND HOLDING CELLS BURSTING AT THE SEEMS. IN A SINGULAR OFFICE, WE SEE CRUZ, SCRUFFY LOOKING SHIRT WITH A CIGAR, STARING INTO THE WINDOW OF THE OFFICE. HE SEEMS TO BE THINKING ABOUT SOMETHING THAT SEEMS TO WRACKING HIS BRAINS. HE LOOKS OVER TO THE DESK, SEEING THE PILES UPON PILES OF CASES.
DELILAH comes storming in the office, pushing the through the door of the office.
DELILAH
(Panting)
Cruz! I need your help, you’re the only one I can trust right now!
DELILAH goes straight to the whiskey decanter in the bottom drawer of CRUZ’s desk, pulls out two glasses, proceeds to pour for the two of them
CRUZ, startled by the entrance of DELILAH, puts his cigar down into the ash tray and takes the glass from DELILAH, carefully sipping the liquor.
CRUZ
Delilah, Its been a while...
DELILAH downs the drink and then proceeds to pour herself aNot her whiskey. She offers some to CRUZ, who politely declines.
DELILAH
Enough of the small talk Cruz. Terrance is dead...
She stands still, staring into the bottom of her glass, tears fall into the whiskey.
CRUZ walks over to the woman, hugging The sobbing woman. Tears fall into the glass, making small trickling noises.
CRUZ
...I’m sorry... I’m not too good at all of this
(soft whisper)
How?
DELILAH pushes away from the embrace slowly, clearly not wanting to end the moment. She slowly looks up, mascara starting to run down her Blushing cheeks.

INT. POLICE STATION- DUSK The station is rife with people, arrests being made and files being transported around to various desks Laced around the place. People working off benches and holding cells bursting. In a singular office, we see CRUZ, scruffy looking shirt and detective badge hanging around his neck, a cigar in his mouth, staring into the window of the offIce. He seems to be thinking things over. He looks over to the desk, seeing the piles upon piles of cases. DELILAH comes storming in the office, pushing through the door of the office. Problems I can encounter creating the screenplay

One particular problem that comes to the forefront of the screenplay is the genre of the film. With the film being a film noir, the characters in the storyboard may be dressed appropriately, but he location will look too modern for my liking. One way I could is this problem would be to change the genre to Neo noir, like ‘Blade Runner’. Another problem i have faced is with the script is the inclusion of the typical conventions of film noir, for example a voice over of the trouble protagonist. i have used a femme fatale and described shots to be with typical dark and wet weather, however the most challenging part of the script was to include a voiceover. A reason for this would be that I am finding it hard to include such a thing. The voice over is there to provide extra information for the passive audiences, however, being an active viewer, personally I’d like to use the voiceover in a way that allows the audience to be able to see the inner thoughts and feelings of the protagonist.
